Facade Church Boy

Dear Diary,

I didnt write everything yesterday. The kids came back from seeing their Dad less tattly this time. But my youngest walked in and said ” ### is not a liar” referring to ex’s girlfriend. I wasnt going to debate this issue with a 6 yr old. I just said Ok. Well as we were driving home from group yesterday a few things were said. First my 6 yr old says “Mommy, Im very proud you are my Mom” I was like Wow. 🙂 I told them I was proud to have them as my boys. Then we started to talk about Jeep Wranglers. They know I want a white one and say it all the time and point them out, I told them that B has one. And my kids kept insisting his was red. I was like ” No its white” And they kept at is, and asked me if B had it painted from red to white. Im like NO?? Its always been white. I could not get why they were so insistant. THen my oldest says “Mom, I dont know whos telling the truth” I was like huh? He said “Dad said Bs is red” I said “Huney, your Dad doesnt live here, he doesnt even see B’s Jeep, I just saw it this weekend” He still didnt want to believe me, So i said “Would you like to ask B on the phone he will tell you will that help?” He said “I dont know” this was over a petty thing, but it was the confusion he was feeling that troubled me on who to believe, sure this wasnt a serious issue, but what about other ones if he cant believe a parent? So later on B sent a pic of it via email for the kids and they now believe it.

They didnt say a lot about the girlfriend, other then she was there. They went to a Christian crusade and the kids said it wasnt very much fun. Ex and I used to go to these but for little ones I can see it getting boring, then my little one fell asleep and wet his pants in ex’s rental car. When I got all their clothes back I got them all wet and smelly, and one my ex’s huge long sleeve shirts was packed in my little ones Lion King Suitcase. I was like why is this in here?

My ex is also wearing a necklace, which I saw the day of court, it has the logo for our old church. Im sorry but it makes me want to puke. Hes the biggest phony and he knows how I hate going to that church. If he wants to be mr christian man, great, but the thing with him is its a facade. He walks around in church with the whole routine down, but he doesnt practice any of the judgemental ridgedness he preaches. So yes Im disgusted by him.

Mr C and I were talking the other day about relationships and he said “Victoria, Im just tired of dealing with drama” and I sat there and was reminded of how my life has been, whats it like to have the NO drama?
