Nice to Smile & Laugh

Dear Diary,

God it feels so good to just smile. 🙂

I had to do a lot of errands for work today, running to various places and picking up things. So I had to stop at the vet today for them and I ran into my old next door neighbors! The ones I lived next to from the time I was born until I was 16! From my childhood. It was so cool to see them. I used to play with their son, he was much younger, and I babysat all the kids on my block.

So It was his Dad, and the step mom. We talked a good while and I asked for a email for the son. Who I havent really seen since I moved, so he was about, ohhh 10??? When I last saw him!

So hes now 23 and his Dad whips out the wallet. The guy is a freaking Pilot, In full uniform shots, good looking, military, living in West VA. Said hes doing really well with his career, and has a car and motorcycle collection. Let me tell you, since the time he was just little, he has wanted to be a pilot, on Halloween he used to go out in flight gear, and always had all this airplane stuff as a little boy.

So I got his email! Ohh how cool! And hes all “Write him, hed love to hear from you!” And then he says to the girl at the vet counter “Yeah my son slept with her when he was 7” Im all ???????????? Wondering where the hell that came from! He goes on to tell how he set up a tent in the backyard, and me and 2 other girls that were neighbors all spent the nite ( I totally forgot about this) And he was just a 7 yr old boy. So he said he still walks around saying he slept with the 3 of us! LOL

Ohh how weird this is! Hes all grown up and hes good looking too! haha. So Ill email him shortly.

So I get back to work and I sent some film titles to my teacher and he wrote back, I literally was just laughing at my computer since I expected him to go nuts with what I sent. So heres his response….

the filmmaker Teshigahara was one of the best ever.

The Seventh Seal is one of the finest Swedish films ever made ….Bergman/Nyqvist

Hiroshima Mon Amour is one of the finest bits of French avant garde cinema….Alain Resnais!!!!

But……..being an inveterate fan of japanese cinema……i must choose Woman In The Dunes…

really fucking amazing film that is ……..

albiet a scary scary film Triumph Das Willens…is after much recrimination of the subject matter…..

an incredibly well directed film…….Leni Reifenstahl…..is a twisted soul….but she sure could direct and edit

Jen got to see how he is, hes so funny, hes so passionate and into it, he just sits and talks and talks, so I can just see him reading the email and making noises n stuff, haha.

Well I leave in a few more hrs, and Im driving straight to the gym. B went into work early so hes getting off around 3 then will head out but will hit traffic.

So we will meet at my house around 4:30. We are to see Matrix at 6:50 but need to get their early to get decent seats.

So it will be nice to see him. I wonder how long hes gonna hang around?? Haha. I plan to take the kids to Ren Faire, either Sun or Mon, not sure which, just whenever I feel like it, and to be honest, I dont really want him to with. Not that he will want too, but I dunno, just funny aint it? Its for my sons bday and I just see B being whiney n grumpy, and I just want to enjoy my kids. So we shall see what happens. Hes not expressed interest in going anyways.

Im thinking of making a hair appt next week for friday, Trim and color. I kinda wanna try a dark chocolaty brown, Ive been doing the red for a few yrs now. And I just need something different, well Im a brunette anyways, just not a really dark one, but I get told the red goes so well with my complexion.

And I so debate cutting my hair a little. Still keeping it long, but a few inches? I dont know. I still think about straightening it, but anyways. I gotta decide on a color then soon, oooo what to do! Then we will go and clean up B’s Jeep next weekend. I kinda look forward to that. It will be hot, its like in the 80s now and getting hotter. But will just wear shorts and a cool shirt and hang out and do something different. Think its kinda cool and sexy to work on a Jeep with my Man. Woohoooo!
