How Does It Work?

Well I now wait. Does anyone know how the District Attorney and that bizz with Child support enforcement works?

I know it can take some time so Im aware of that part.

I believe you get assigned a number? A case worker? I dunno? But I know I need somewhere to notify of changes. Like my ex just moved again. Granted I know some of his stuff is still at the other guys place as the kids told me so and knowing my ex he may never get it all moved. So I know the mail can get to him.

Anyways, I left a note for Ex friday about Little ones dentist appt and me and my ex are to split the costs. He rarely does, but I always leave a copy of the bill, I write down his half for him(yeah cause for him to do the math would be too hard)

So I left a note, $67 he owed.

Did I see it? No, I just heard about how their Dad bought a new cell phone this weekend.

Nice aint it?

I know I say it at times, but my ex was ordered to pay $950 a month in child support. And he agreed to this and signed it. His attny agreed to it. By using the state method to calculate support based on our incomes and amount of time we have the kids.

Well my ex is over $15,000 behind in that. He pays when he wants, Ive gone 6 mos and not seen a single dime, then he pays maybe $100 or $200 out of the blue.

He hasnt paid for any of the medical or dental expenses(we are to split them in half) And hes over $600 or so behind for that stuff.

He also was fined by the courts for failure to provide documents, answers court papers, talking out loud in the courtroom, etc etc, He was ordered to pay $700 in my attny fees. He didnt pay them, I did. But the attny said if he ever does pay them they send me the money. A letter came just a few weeks ago from My old attny and his from the Collections agency saying “You cant run away and hide from you bills.” And now the amount with interest has grown to $1400. Oh and part of that money was my EX’s Attny coming after him!

OH Wait and Im told they charge interest for all the time the payments are behind for child support.

Anyways, my kids seem to think that their Dads truck was unfairly taken away cause thats what Dad says(It was repossessed as he refused to turn it back in after his lease was up and stopped making payments)

They think he makes less $$ then I do. When he makes $5 an hour more then I do.

Ive given up on sending socks on their weekends with him. All of the socks me, and my mom constantly buy all disappear and end up somewhere at his house, the kids go there with one pair and he never does anything about it, they come home with No socks! So another pair gets eaten up.

And its like dont you just love how people help to raise their OWN children?

Youngest had a project on our family origin, he had to do both sides and make a doll. Of course I do all homework, its been that way always. But he needed info from his Dad. And he called him last week and I called him and told him the questions, so did he get it? NOPE we last minute had to make up answers this AM for his report.

Im considered low income. Thankfully I dont have a car payment and I got a house when the market was super low so my mortgage is affordable.

I just really want them to crack down on him, this is messed up, My mom always tells me Im too nice to him over all of this, But its like what can I do? I constantly put notes with the kids bags of how much he owes or his half of things and every once in a blue moon he leaves something.

I dont want to engage with him and argue. So Ill let the state do it.
