Decorating Fun

Dear Diary,

Well went to class tonight and it was cancelled. 🙁

So I turned around to head home, Mom was with the kids so I peeked at one furniture store on the way home. Just looking for a nice chair for my office. Eeeks the prices! I dont need an expensive piece, just one that looks nice and is comfy.

I called B and left him a message saying class was cancelled so he knows Im home and doesnt have to wait till 10pm to come out, but I have a feeling he may have went to the Karate thing after work so not sure that hes home yet.

Mom made mashed potatoes and gravy, and we finished off last nights pork I made.

Before I left for class the phone rang about 5pm. It was ex. I could hear him talking to the machine in a nice voice saying “Hi Victoria, Its me, I just went to pick up the kids at school for Wed and they werent there. I thought I was supposed to have the kids every Wed night, can you please call me so we can straighten this out”

OH great, last time this happened he threw a fit, calling the attorney and got the kids a day earlier. You always gotta make sure to make wording clear. The paper work states he gets them on Weds after school. But during off track time it says parents each alternate weeks. I sent ex an email 2 days ago with their schedule and his days, and also told him that his Weds would resume the first week of April. Guess he didnt pay attention eh?

So I called him back. I said “Did you get my email?” He said “Well uh,, yeah, I know, I just thought…” in a humble tone. I had to repeat to him what our custody agreement says. He then said “ok” Then said “How are you doing Victoria?” I said “Ok” He then said “Ive been praying for you” I said “ok” and he said “if that matters” He then said “I really miss talking to you” I said “I know, I would like to be able to talk with you, but whenever Im nice you pull the rug out from under my feet, its kinda hard to deal with you when your like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde” He said “Yeah, dont cry” Im all???? I said “Im not crying” He said “I am” I said “Do you want to talk to the kids?” And he said “Umm yeah” I then said “Wait would you rather do that later?” He said Yeah and I said “Ok bye”

As much as I would love for us to talk. I cant let my guard down with him. If hes wanting to be nice and friendly, then he has to earn my trust by showing it in the way he treats me over a period of time. Last time I made nice and invited him to go and see the kids with me on Halloween, he was nice, but then the following day in the attorney office he was a cocky jerk, then personally attacked me and my attny threw him out. So lesson learned.

Its sad ya know? But I dont trust him, and hes damaged that trust TOTALLY. And besides hes probably scared as hell right now with all the legal crap coming down on him, why wouldnt he try to “Make nice” with me?

Well now that I have my money I can get the stuff for my office! I was looking at chairs, then at those Cheis? Chez? however you spell that word, the Lounge chair you can lay in. But those things are dang expensive! Or do I want a small sofa couch for guests? Gut then I think how uncomfy most sofa beds are, and it would be better just to get a rollaway or inflatible mattress for company. Oh I dont know! Ill know the chair or couch or whatever when I see it! I think Im going to start painting the living room walls when the kids are gone. Woohoo! And I can take down all the pictures/wall hangings, find a new clock and change the look.

I just have to find the items I want. Im into this whole wrought black iron look right now. So I want to find a clock along those lines. I also could use new curtains for the living room window.

I also need to pick up the cieling fan or light for the office. I watched all these Trading Spaces where they constantly remove and dont care for ceiling fans. So after watching it all week it made me wonder if the fan was a good idea. But I did watch a room makeover where they hung a fan similar to the style Id like in the office. Its called a Palm Beach style fan or something, the blates are brown and look like woven rattan with a black base. And then I just imagine some pretty plants in here also. Along with a NEW CHAIR when I find one 🙂

I just want to go shopping so bad now! haha, just wait till the week with no kids, I can go to multiple stores without time restraints and tired whiney grumpy children getting drug everywhere or running around.

Wow the kids may come home to a partly new house! Ohhhh I cant wait!! heehee

I also got this neat painting idea for a dresser or chest off a home decorating show. I have a few dressers or chests that arent worth a lot but need a new paint job. And they painted this chest with white spray paint sparingly, then they layed this really pretty style lacey looking material over it. And spray painted on top of that, its kinda hard to explain it in type, but basically the design showed up on the chest of the print on the curtains and it looked so cooool! And I have a few pieces of furniture I can play with! Worst scenario I just paint over it right?

So much fun so much fun! 🙂 YAY YAY YAY YAY!
