Men and Computers!! GRRRR

Ok I just spent the past hour dealing with hooking up my computer so I can get

online!

GRRRR!!!!

See part of my weekend with B and our Christmas umm squabble? Well he decides he wants to build me a BETTER, Faster, blah blah blah computer. Being the computer tech kinda guy that he is. Mind you Im fine with my computer, I never asked for a new one, and all that really matters to me in having a computer is that I can get online and hook up my digital cam. I dont use it for a whole lot else. I just need a new printer is all.

Well B is going to make me a new computer anyways. He said its the thing hes good at, and meanwhile I spent part of the weekend watching him work on it, or sleeping while he worked on it. And remember the famous phrase “Oh it will only take me about 20 min” You know is this just a guy thing or what? Why must I have reincarnation moments of being married to my ex?????? ::::Screams:::: My ex used to do this to me! Tell me he was gonna do something, and Id end up not being able to get online for about 3 days as a result. But Id be reassured before hand “It will only take me about 30 min”

So that is part of what caused some riff between B and I. I sat in his lap and he told him I was annoyed. That I didnt want to sound ungrateful. But when a person says “Here Im giving you this” When you both made lists for eachother of what you want, and I try to cater to his list. WELL!? You know what I mean? So I sat in his lap and said “Huney, if you want to make me happy, take me to the mall to a “Girly” store. Not have me wait in the Jeep while we go to the computer store for you to buy parts for the computer for me that I will loose time with you over as you build it on my free weekend.

I swear is this just one of those different sexes, men are from mars women from venus things???? I said “B are you even hearing me??”

But I just shush finally on the computer thing. Well when we came to my house last night to feed the dog and grab some stuff he went to hook up the computer, the Windows 98 CD wouldnt boot, had a scratch, he could detect my mouse or use it. Also he found out the modem didnt work either. So now my WORKING computer is disconnected. He sends me home with a CD to load. And well now I cant dangit get online! Remember? My only thing with a computer that matters most is “Can it sign online?” And now I cant even do that! GRRRRRR!

Ok Ok, so I unhook my New faster computer which wont work right now and hook up my old one and once again have a problem with my monitor not working. I swear I dont know what im doing wrong, so then I had to go and lug out my OLD monitor and hook it up. Eeeesh!

You know??? Seriously, its frustrating.

I didnt ask for any of this you know? Do I sound ungrateful?

Im not all pissed off I hate him over this. Its just annoying and its all because “He” was bothered that I didnt have a newer faster computer and all the guys talked about mine like it was from the stone ages and not worth much. But I was happy with it?????

And now its not even set up, and tomorrow when New Years Eve is here, Im gonna be end up losing B to yanking my MODEM from MY computer to put in this new computer, sorry Im a little fearful of change.

Anyone else deal with this kinda thing??

I swear ever since my Ex left, I havent had a person tweak with my computer. B has loaded a thing or 2 or minor things but nothing like this. Leave well enough alone dangit!
