Simpler Life
Dear Diary,
Has anyone done that? Made there life simpler in many ways, like big ways, not just around the house, organizing, yada yada, but changed the way they lived?
Right now I have a have a 4 bed 2 bath house, a garage, a large front and backyard, 2 teens, 2 big dogs, we have 4 vehicles.
I dream of leaving it all one day.
I love my dogs dont get me wrong, but I think once they are gone I dont want another big dog.
I want to be able to pack up and go. The idea of renting a little cottage in a BEAUTIFUL setting sounds so heavenly!
Just even doing this for a year sounds wonderful.
Of course we do have 4 vehicles, but all in are older vehicles, they run and arent too costly but at the same time all have their own set of problems and age. It would be nice to have a Newer more reliable car is all.
So yeah, I dont know what I would do with my time, but I want to be by the ocean, I want to walk and run on the beach, I want to go to farmers markets each week and pick fresh fruits and veggies and cook and eat them. I want to stroll the main streets, see art, see people, sit in the sun, see all the flowers and plants.
Yes Santa Barbara is my visual right now, I was looking at Cambria again realizing how long its been since Ive been there and Im way overdue for it, there is something magical about that place and what it does for ones soul and spirit.
I took my tax money or something the last time and rented a house for 3-4 days and took the whole family and we all had our own rooms, it was really nice!
I have acquired so much stuff and I keep telling myself I have to get rid of it in order for myself to move, or else it will be a nightmare packing it all and storing it, but yes, a prettier place for me to go is in my dream.
I was telling my sis the other day when she asked “Are you done having kids?” I said “Yeah me? Im done, not that it cant happen but Im not trying for it. Im fine, Im ready to go forward.”
The kids will be adults within the next 2-4 yrs. I said that I feel like someone just getting out of high school off to explore the world since I didnt do that. I had a boyfriend in high school and he was the world and I married him and had no real big ambitions for myself personally. I mean yes marriage and kids, but nothing beyond that. So Im ready to explore the world!
