House Decor Ideas
Dear Diary,
Well I just got done watching one of those home decorating shows. Omgosh this womans house! I loved it!
She bought a Old Victorian home, but added a twist to it. It was beautiful!
She is from Spain, so basically she added “The soul of mediterranian” type feel to the place. It was so beautiful inside. They were talking about putting yourself and who you are into your home, how there is no set rules for whatever you wish to do.
She had chalkboards in several places. But they looked really nice. In the hall, in the dining area, etc. And in the dining area she entertains, posts the names of the guest on one board, what the meal is, what the wine is on another, and this is up all week and it also makes a great conversation piece, but she also has 2 children so she said its ongoing, ever changing art.
She had chandeliers on pullies that she can move up and down and she decorates them more like table centerpieces. Instead of having a centerpiece or flowers. She had this cute little library room. It was wall to wall books, oohhh its so hard to describe, But just so inspiring and gave me so many new ideas and thoughts. She had said something on the show, This woman of this house. She said “Sit down in front of your mirror, and look at yourself and say “Who am I? What do I want to portray about myself in my home?” type talk. She said “Do you love the feel of country? Are you romantic and ecclectic, etc? Just find out what you are inside and go there with your own creativity.
So here I am asking what am I? haha. And I came up with the feel of ME and how I want my home to be. I want it romantic, sexy, very comfortable, yet not cluttered, very open and clean. Makes me just wanna go rip apart my house once again lol! Wish I had the money to just do whatever I dreamed. :::Sigh:::
But I did get some ideas for decorating. I want to redo my wall hangings/pictures/art work/wall decor in my house. When I first married I was into the country decor thing (umm bleh!) not anymore at all. Then I started into the antique,victorian,cluttery stuff, (not anymore!) Funny how you change?
But as far as wall hangings and artwork. This woman had photos blown up and framed. In her library was a very old black and white photo that featured her father. Going back to her roots. And just neat things like that. So why not photograph or get photos blown up of things that are special to me? So that part gave me some new ideas.
Well once again no call from B. 🙁 Nothing last nite, nothing in my email yesterday. And Im doing my best to refrain and not make contact. Just see how long he keeps up with this. Christmas is so close. So, its time to leave making effort in his hands. I will not ask him his plans or double check or reinvite him anywhere. He knows all this stuff already and I dont need to coddle and prod him thru this type of stuff. To be honest, Im really tired of it. Its getting way too old.
I have been dreaming about my ex a lot lately. Last nite I dreamt he did have a new attny. And the name was “Trevor” when I glanced at the paperwork. Yet I was puzzled if he had a new attny why he kept trying to email me and settle and not use his attny.
Well not sure what Im gonna do today. Ive been cleaning some. The weather is chilly but the sun has been out past 2 days, so its not too bad during the day so maybe clean up a little out in the backyard. My sister talked to me a lot about my dog. So I may not take him in. I also started to put an anti infection cream and his yucky growth looks much better. so it may have been infected/inflamed. Not that it looks great, but it looks much better. She just talked to me about how hes old already and how anethesia could be hard on an old dog and surgery. As long as he is happy and not suffering she said she wouldnt worry. So I feel a little better. She told me about the health probs her dogs had in the end. So for now he sleeps in the laundry room at night. He is quite used to and happy with this. He just is getting old and shivery at night so its time to bring him in.
