Pray for this Woman

Dear Diary,

I am a part of a domestic violence type website with message boards. A woman from Arizona is new and just has been posting over the past few weeks. She wrote a message tonight that just stunned half of us on the site. We have all urged her to get out and that her husband is dangerous.

We have told her to contact local shelters. She said they cant take her in with her 6 children. She doesnt know where to go. Her father will let her come there but she is afraid of her husband finding her there. And hurting her. So she needs a safe place. Ive been posting responses to her tonight. I feel so badly for her. I wish I could just have her over to my house, tell her to run and get out now. I called my Domestic Violence 24 hr number and got the nationwide number and posted it for this woman. But I pray she isnt put in touch with the exact same assistance that she has been calling. She had an advocate who told her to get out, find a place to go, and she said she has been on that for the past few mos. I told her also to crack open the phone book and start calling churches and dont stop until she finds one that can help her with a place to get out and hide.

I wont write about all the horrible things she has said, but its just breaks my heart. 🙁 I think of my Ex’s step mother and half siblings. They had to run away from their Dad and her husband and hide all the way across the US from the man. And they left with the clothes on their backs.

🙁 So please everyone say a prayer for the woman in AZ with 6 kids. And if anyone knows of any assitance numbers or programs for AZ, post them ok?
