Good Things

Dear Diary,

Just taking a moment to dwell on some simple positive things going on.

I officially paid off a credit card on Friday! YAY! 2 more to go that were from my marriage that he could give a rip about, but Im all about preserving good credit. 🙂

Boyfriend and I have a date time set up for next Tuesday! YAY! Im going to go to his place after work, just gotta work out the sitter details still, but Im sure I can pull it off just fine. I will only need someone for about 3 hours. A lot was put out there with the talk with boyfriend. We also discussed getting tickets to a concert in June at the Rose Bowl. No Doubt, Alanis Morisett, Pink, Celine Dion, Ja Rule and a bunch of pop artists will be performing. So tickets go on sale next week. I wanted to go but didnt think boyfriend would be interested(funny I invited him to one of these concerts over 2 yrs ago when I was with my Ex and boyfriend was just a friend!ha)

My mom brought her lawn mower over for me Sunday. My yard looked so awful and I really take pride in keeping my yards nice. So it drove me nuts, Im waiting for the tax refund to get a new lawn mower, and that way I can start my weekly “Yard Therapy” again. I go into a Zen state when I take care of my yard.

So I mowed the front and back yards, got some color on my skin, and a lot of sweat and exercise, which I enjoyed.

My oldest did a week of excellent behavior after having so much trouble for awhile. I had to basically try rewards and its worked so far and really motivated him.

Among all the annoying ex stuff, life is going pretty good. I paid all the bills for May!!! The check was on hold the ex gave me that was all screwed up but it finally cleared. So I will be ok for May thank God. Im sad that I drained my savings account that took me a year to build, but at least it helped me through the times where I needed it, So Im back starting over with about an $80 balance in it now, sigh, but hey its a start right!

My oldest gets to go to a local planetarium Friday with an after school program field trip. It sounds sooo cool! Its not open to the public and the program director has been trying forever to get the kids a trip, and she finally got them in! Wish I could see it!

So Im thankful I have a job, I have my house, I have my children, family and friends, my support groups, my counselor, a boyfriend, and my Ex lives far across the US!
