Trip Ahead

Dear Diary,

We took a trip to California for the 4th, it was a bit rushed as we only had 3 days, and well, a big chunk of it was driving. But we made it to Santa Barbara and were able to spend it where we originally got engaged on the 4th of July and where we were married. Weather was beautiful as were the people and the food, hotel and entertainment.

I will be turning around again in a week and going back to stay at my Moms and house/doggy sit while she and my big sis go to Dads Cabin.

I think it will be good, ever have those times where you and your spouse just seem to bicker a lot more then usual over dumb stuff and your not sure why? So it will be good to be apart a little. I may just stay the week or if Im so inspired I have visions of going back up the coast by myself and staying a little, will see how things go. Its nothing but HOT here in Az right now, too hot so all I can do is work indoors. Its just too hard to do the work needed to be done without sweating like mad.

I really need to tear my garage apart but its just too flipping hot and its monsoon rain season so it can rain at a moments notice so everything needs to stay packed inside for now. Also brought back my project pieces from my sisters garage, YAY! All thats left there now is a Mid Century hutch that I cant fit in my van as its too big. So will have to try getting it sold there online unless I drive our truck out at some point and can load it.

I will bring back items from Moms when I go to her house, I have a vintage stereo cabinet and a King size wood bed frame I believe is all thats left! Whew, Im almost done of having things scattered at others places.

The king size bed will be awesome painted though, its just that I have to take the headboard apart some as it wont fit in my van, its that big!

I will also get to see my gf E, she ended up moving out of her house and in with a couple from church. Her job hours have been sporadic, her health suffering, her teen daughter issues as she was at work too much, so she just took some time off work also.

Shes an awesome friend, we talk online almost daily and she calls me usually once a week while driving to one of her jobs in the Valley.

So we will get to meet up. My other friend L I have no idea how she is or if she will be weird to me when I go out. She is having severe sciatic pain, shes not been online for sometime which is not the norm, she posts all the time, she had a surgery, shes on heavy pain meds and already had a conflict with me somewhat, we addressed it by phone, but I know with all the pain and the meds shes not in her best frame of mind, but shes trying to control everything around her still, so I told her to STOP and take care of herself, I think its part of why she is sick, too much worry and stress and needing to let go and let God handle things. We all know what stress can do to our bodies. But I need to see her while im there.

Have no idea how its going to go with hubby and his sis settling Moms estate. Not sure if I was here to post, but his mom passed away.

They have her home, car, grandmas former home that is a rental, etc to handle, split, etc.

So Im still researchering places. I have 2 places in mind to visit, hoping to go Aug/Sept and scout them out and see what I think. Have connections in one via facebook friends and our church, the other a guy Im on facebook with has a ministry there also and they do weekly podcasts, hubby and I listened live to the last one.

Talking to a gal in Florida to see if she can make the trip, she has to talk to her hubby, trying to find a pal to buddy up with and make the trip out of the USA to visit.

And for the price of the ticket, I wonder if i should go for 2 wks, really spend some time there, just different without your spouse or a close friend you know? But I do know people when I arrive at each place so I wouldnt be a total stranger in a foreign place, Id have some connections and people to meet up with.
