Funk & Good Sales!

Dear Diary,

Man I feel really funky at the moment.

I just got home, its about 9pm. I was over at my girlfriend D’s house, she called me and invited us over, me and oldest, she had her 3 kids, her husbands 2 kids, her in laws, etc. We had dinner, the kids played, we all just sat around.

But the grandparents were loving and funny and squirting whipped cream in the kids mouths, they played Uno on the floor all together, D’s new husband, the kids all hug him, hes a sweet guy. He plays with the kids, hes just warm. Then they all played hide and seek and D’s husband was it and the kids could hide in the house, thats something we never played indoors or my mom would get pissed, and I am the same way.

Then my oldest lost the stuffed animal he brought with him(he got it from his teacher at the school party) so they all went on a hunt, then played hide the stuffed animal and everyone had to leave the room as one person would hide it.

Her house is so damn cute, its another old one like I love, a 3 bedroom one bath, small, cozy, wood floors, and candles lit, christmas lights, the decor was so nice, D always puts on such a nice presentation.

And I just watched how her husband is to her, and hes so sweet, adoring, affectionate.

And everyone just seems to have such a nice time.

At that home you get a good sense of FAMILY.

And I reflect on what its like at my house, people in their own spaces, Im guilty of it, the computer room, the kids in the front room with the tv.

Anyways, I get home and pull up and there is mariachi, mexican style music blaring from a house diagnolly behind me, I can hear the fast paced beat right now, its annoying to be honest, they are celebrating tonight. At least this isnt a regular occurence but damn its loud.

And I realize how little I have people over, or how I have this fear that people wont want too. Or that I cant put together a good party, etc.

Okay I got interrupted while writing this, B called me. Funny how different it is now that he has a cell phone. HE CALLS LOL

He called me last night, he called me at 2am and left a message when they got in, he called me when he woke up and he just called me during his break.

Guess it does make me feel good, loved, you know? Like he cares about me and just wants to hear me. 🙂

So my mood has perked up some, and my appreciation for my man.

I did a lot of CHristmas shopping today, for the kids of course. I kinda wanted to get B a pair of jeans, and a nice long sleeve casual shirt, I just suck at sizes and since hes put on weight I dont know what shirt size is good since he wears none of his stuff he used to wear, should I got Extra Large on shirts then?

Dunno, we shall see.

I still h avent gotten my house cleaned, today was spent shopping, and then massive amounts of packaging and emails.

I had 5 auctions ending today and this past week ebay had a half price fixed price buy it now listing day, I dont use that much, but since it was half price I threw on like 35 items Ive tried to sell in the past and didnt, some I listed twice no luck.

Well I kid you freaking not! People must be home and itching to spend money today! everytime I walked away I was selling, I was out shopping and coming home to sales and on and on!

I love it! I already took 4 boxes into the post office today to get them out ASAP as I know I cant carry that much on Monday.

And I sold some larger items too.

My sister found a trunk in a apartment she cleaned that was to be thrown out YEARS ago and gave me the stuff in it. It was Vintage Stars wars stuff, an AT At and the Millenium Falcoln, plus the Darth Vader Case for figures. Ive had them in the garage all this time, they arent in new shape, missing some pieces, and when I priced them used awhile back they werent worth a whole lot. Well! They sold for $81 today! I sold my youngest childs Lincoln Logs. I was cleaning out their older toys, and I got $23 for those!

Plus $31 for an old Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby that I got long ago at the thrift store and a yard sale.

And some other stuff, plus all the piddly buy it now stuff. I just looked at my total for sales today. $215! woohoo

Plus this helps to make a dent in my garage selling this stuff, just funny how things have been sitting for years and I finally yank them out, clean them up, photograph and slap them on ebay and to see what I get, sometimes you get nothing or very little and then somedays it good. 🙂

So that took up a chunk of my day.

I also went and washed my Jeep! It was sooo dirty, and then i went to the car wash and vacuumed it out really good. As she was looking mighty nasty and hadnt been cleaned in sometime.

I hate the shorter days, I get less done this time of year and with the cold weather things got put to the side too long.
