Winery Get Away!

Dear Diary,

Its nice to be home today with my little one so quiet, hes feeling better now, he said when he would get up and move around his head would start to hurt again so he was very quiet on the couch. My Mom came by so I could run stuff to mail at the post office and I went by the school to get his school work for today.

Hes feeling better now, had some orange juice and soup and has already completed 3 class assignments, hes in such a good accomodating mood! LOL I wish this was him normally!

So turns out he is off wed also! I didnt read the letter right! EEKS, he has a half day tomm! So I asked mom if she can get him.

Ill call the ex to see if he can watch little Wed as he was going to pick him up early from school as it is.

I also put in a call to the public school where he was and where oldest is asking if there was room in my childs former class. The lady said “She had one spot and we just filled it this AM!”

Crapola. She told me to fill out the paper work and check back as they may have a space since sometimes the new kids dont show up or after a break kids dont return.

There are no openings for this grade on the track I want either. So Ill just have to keep checking in. I think if there is an opening at some point Ill switch him back.

I havent told him yet, Ill just see as it goes.

Oldest rode to school with the neighbors across the street which wascool today as I didnt have to drag sick one out.

So I went to the post office and mailed a LOAD of packages. Felt like Santa Claus.

As I drove out I saw all the snow on the surrounding mountains! WOW! Its so close! Its all around and so pretty as the sun was then out and seeing the mountains covered was gorgeous. There are ski resorts up in the mountains and heard on the radio that they are all in business today.

I looked all over for hotels today for our trip this weekend, I couldnt find anything cheap, or if it was the cheapest it was questionable and I wanted to find reviews on the hotel etc, so I was clicking around and looked at this Winery that had a place to stay, the room was $149 the first night, I was looking at rooms around $100 that were okay.

Well I click on it and damn these rooms are NICE! Villas! With your own patio overlooking a winery, jacuzzi tubs, the rooms are all very pretty decorated, sorta like little a little,, well VILLA LOL a little house. There were just too pretty to pass up so I booked it! We are staying there, I havent told B where we will be, I want it to be a surprise. We will stay there fri and sat eve, sat we get picked up at our place for the wine tour at 11am and that will last all day and a lunch is included.

The Winery Villas are new as of 2004 so they will have that new feel. I was looking through they have all these packages, its not all open yet some is to come as its still having more built. Like Spa/Massage/Balloon rides you name it packages with staying there. 🙂 So we will check it out, plus we wont have as long of a drive as we would to San Diego, and there is an old town area there with antique shops, so Im sure it will be fine, Ive never been to this city, but will let you all know how it is and if I recommend it! Gotta be sure to bring the camera!

Im excited now, got over my little cheap hotel bit, just feels to sterile you know when you really just want to get away and relax, well dang we are gonna be in a NICE place! Im thinking the nicest we have ever been too, but we shall see.

I really need to get more on Ebay now, so Im making money while Im gone this next weekend! I have some stuff already up but could do more to make up for this day off.
