THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS DECODED, IT ISN’T WHAT YOU THINK.
Hey guys, this study may be a bit lengthy but please read to the very end because it is vital to your salvation that you acquire this knowledge. So please read and share. Be blessed.
The parable of the ten virgins tells a story of ten virgins who fall asleep while waiting for a groom. At midnight, a cry is heard announcing the arrival of the groom. The virgins then wake up and get their lamps ready. They realise that their lamps have begun to dim. They all trim their lamps, however, 5 foolish virgins don’t have extra oil to keep their lamps burning. They ask the 5 wise virgins who carried extra oil if they can share, the 5 wise virgins advise them to go buy some because it isn’t enough to share. The 5 foolish virgins rush to buy the oil, but while they are gone, the groom arrives and the 5 wise virgins who are ready go with him into the wedding and the door is locked. The 5 foolish virgins return and ask to be let in, but the groom doesn’t know them, so he denies them entry.
Many teachings on this subject don’t quite line up. Line must be upon line and precept upon precept, which means the scriptures must agree and confirm.
So let us get into our study. In the parable, we see that whether wise or foolish, all are virgins dressed in wedding garments waiting for the groom (which symbolise purity and faithfulness) with lit lamps and all hear the cry at midnight (all are faithful believers who were watching for the return of the Messiah). This therefore rules out the popular teaching that the 5 foolish virgins symbolise sinful believers who hadn’t received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
On the contrary, some of the virgins were wise while others were foolish, some had extra oil and some didn’t and some made it into the marriage and were known by the groom while others got locked out by the groom because He didn’t know them.
However, all were asleep at the midnight hour and arose at the cry to trim their lamps. At this point is where those with extra oil begin to be referred to as wise and those without oil as foolish. Up until this point, the wise and foolish virgins were completely identical. The oil is the dividing factor. The reason the foolish didn’t have extra oil is because they were foolish, and the reverse is true for the wise. To understand what the oil is, we have to understand why they had or didn’t have it. What do the scriptures have to say about wisdom?
Prov 1:5-7 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: to understand a proverb, and the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Prov 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
Prov 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Prov 9:8-10 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a wise man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Eccl 8:5 A wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgement.
Prov 10:8, Prov 10:14, Prov 14:3, Prov 14:16, Prov 15:2, Prov 17:10,Prov 18:15, Prov 21:20, Prov 28:7, Matt 7:24-27 (wise builder), Matt 24:42-51 (wise watcher).
Based on the above scriptures, the wise listen, increase learning knowledge, are humble enough to receive a rebuke and instruction, fear God, seek knowledge of the truth, keep the sayings of the saviour and do them and are waiting for His return.
Based on the scriptural definition of wisdom, the Almighty has a plan to separate the wheat from the tares through the knowledge of the truth. He prepares his church, the bride of Christ, by washing her. Since He has already washed her with His blood, he now washes her with the WORD OF TRUTH.
Eph 5: 25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Messiah also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The parable of the ten virgins reveals that in the last days, both the wise and foolish virgins (the church) are asleep at midnight and surrounded by darkness. At the cry, they wake up and discover a new problem, their lamps that need to be burning bright so they can find their way in the dark have begun to dim, and need new oil, but the foolish are out of oil. Until this point, the foolish virgins are completely identical to the wise. What then is the extra oil!?
John 6:53-54 Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh and eateth my blood, hath eternal life; and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.
On realising that the disciples were offended by the suggestion that they eat and drink his physical flesh and blood, our Saviour goes on to say;
John 6:61-63 Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the son of man ASCEND UP where he was before? IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH, THE FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they ARE SPIRIT, and they ARE LIFE.
If the WORDS of the Messiah ARE SPIRIT and LIFE, they can’t be the physical scriptures (Bible) written in black and white. Look at the early church, they weren’t like modern day believers who know the scriptures, but don’t listen to the spirit. The POWER isn’t in the written scriptures, but IN HIS SPOKEN WORD. And our Saviour is constantly speaking to us.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
So what was he saying to the disciples in John 6:61-63?
To ASCEND up to heaven is to be raptured or caught up. When the Messiah says, “IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH”, he isn’t talking about the Holy Spirit. All ten virgins had the Holy Spirit but only 5 were caught up to the marriage. 7 times in the book of Revelations, the Messiah says
Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT SAITH unto the churches.
6 of these times he was speaking directly to the churches and only the church of Philadelphia was promised to escape the great tribulation. What did they do different, two things;
Rev 3:8 For thou hast a little strength, and hast KEPT MY WORD and hast NOT DENIED MY NAME…
Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Now, we want to know, what is the Spirit saying in these last days, right? Those that keep his word and do not deny his name will escape the tribulation by means of being “caught up“ or “raptured.” This is the difference between the wise and the foolish. When the cry is made the brides must trim their lamps and add the extra oil to their lamps to keep them burning for their trip. The five wise was then able to find their way in the darkness to meet the bridegroom. The lamps would light their feet and their path, which is identical to what David said about the word of Elohim:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105
This agrees with with Rev 3:10 and the parable of the Ten Virgins. The lamp and light in the parable of the ten virgins are His spoken word. What then is the oil in the parable?
Let’s first notice that the first oil was only enough to sustain them to midnight, they were all sleeping and their lamps had gone out! Then and only then did they all trim their lamps and add the new oil into them, by doing this they were getting a new start, and a renewal. Because they trimmed the wick of the lamp and replaced the oil, they now have a new flame, wick and oil. The old wick had burned up, the old oil had burned up, and the old flame had gone out.
This is the state of many believers today. They have substituted the true oil for church, religion and doctrines. They have been eating the same Sunday sermons for years; they are ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. For years many have been teaching that the extra oil is the Holy Spirit, but let’s now turn to the scriptures to see if it reveals the true nature of extra oil.
Song 1:3…Because of the savour of thy good ointments THY NAME IS AS OIL POURED FORTH, therefore do the VIRGINS LOVE THEE.
This scripture has 2 important words that should be noticed: Oil and Virgins. This alone reveals and unlocks the mystery of the extra oil in the parable of the ten virgins. In the book of the song of Solomon the woman is a type of church, she symbolizes the body of Messiah. Many bible scholars do recognize this, and in the song of Solomon the cry is made just like in the story of the ten virgins:
Song 2:10-13…My beloved spake, and said unto me, RISE UP, my love, my fair one, AND COME AWAY. 11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12 The flowers appear on the earth; THE TIME OF THE SINGING OF BIRDS IS COME, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; 13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. ARISE, my love, my fair one, AND COME AWAY.
This is the cry being made to the bride of Yahshua, and notice it’s the season for singing and rejoicing. What happens to those chosen to survive the tribulation just before they are caught up?
Rev 7:2-4…2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God IN (not on) THEIR FOREHEADS. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand (144,000) of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Rev 14:1-4…1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, HAVING HIS FATHER’S NAME WRITTEN IN (not on) THEIR FOREHEADS. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but THE HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, which were REDEEMED FROM THE EARTH. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for THEY ARE VIRGINS. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
The bride needs the name of her bridegroom sealed in her forehead, and this is the extra oil. The wise realize this to be so and the foolish don’t.
There are many arguments that come forth about the name of the Messiah, but we must understand that in the last days the Messiah cleanses his bride with “the washing of water by the word of Elohim.” It’s the truth that sets us free.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth…John 17:17 (KJV)
In the book of Thessalonians the writer describes how in the last days Elohim shall send a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie because they received not the love of the truth (2 Thess 2:10-12) This strong delusion is for all those who have not the love of the truth. The truth is the key.
Is there salvation in the Name? Read the scriptures below and be the judge.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. ..Acts 4:12
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved… Acts 2:21
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. Eph 3:14-15
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Prov 18:10
The above scriptures are taken from the King James Bible and the name presented in the passage is not accurate according to the original scriptures. They were only used for our readers sake and to determine the importance of the name of our father in heaven.
What is the truth concerning the Name of the Messiah?
I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. John 5:43
Based on this scripture we should see the Fathers name in the name of the Messiah, therefore we need to know what the name of the Father is according to the scriptures. There have been attempts in the past to suppress and remove the name of the father out of the scriptures. Most of the names we see in the King James Bible have been added or mistranslated, such as Jehovah, Lord, God, Jesus, and Christ.
The Father doesn’t want to be called Lord.
This is a very interesting scripture; Hosea 2:16-17…And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. 17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
According to this scripture, the church now calls the Father Baal! How you ask?
Baʿal, (bāʾ-ʿayn-lām), is a Semitic word signifying “The Lord, master, owner (male), keeper, husband”. Cognates include Standard Hebrew (Bet-Ayin-Lamed; בַּעַל / בָּעַל, Báʿal, Akkadian Bēl and Arabic بعل. The feminine form is Baʿalat (Hebrew בַּעֲלָה Baʕalah, Arabic بعلـة baʿalah) signifying “lady, mistress, owner (female), wife”.
Baʿal (Biblical Hebrew בעל, pronounced [ˈbaʕal], usually spelled Baal in English) is a Northwest Semitic title and honorific meaning “master” or “lord”[1] that is used for various gods who were patrons of cities in the Levant, cognate to Akkadian Bēlu. A Baalist or Baalite means a worshipper of Baal.
This is the definition taken from Easton’s Bible Dictionary:
Baal = Lord.
(1.) The name appropriated to the principal male god of the Phoenicians. It is found in several places in the plural BAALIM (Jdg 2:11; Jdg 10:10; 1Ki 18:18; Jer 2:23; Hos 2:17). Baal is identified with Molech (Jer 19:5). It was known to the Israelites as Baal-peor (Num 25:3; Deut 4:3), was worshipped till the time of Samuel (1Sa 7:4), and was afterwards the religion of the ten tribes in the time of Ahab (1Ki 16:31-33; 1Ki 18:19, 22). It prevailed also for a time in the kingdom of Judah (2Ki 8:27; Compare 2Ki 11:18; 2Ki 16:3; 2Ch 28:2), till finally put an end to by the severe discipline of the Captivity (Zep 1:4-6). The priests of Baal were in great numbers (1Ki 18:19), and of various classes (2Ki 10:19). Their mode of offering sacrifices is described in 1Ki 18:25-29. The sun-god, under the general title of Baal, or “lord,” was the chief object of worship of the Canaanites. Each locality had its special Baal, and the various local Baals were summed up under the name of Baalim, or “lords.” Each Baal had a wife, who was a colorless reflection of himself.
Ba’al, or Baal, is a Northwest Semitic title meaning ‘lord’, used for various gods and local spirit-deities. In some texts, the term refers to Hadad, the lord of the divine assembly whose name only priests were allowed to speak. References to Baal in the Hebrew Bible, such as the prophet Elijah’s confrontation with Baal’s priests, usually correspond to local gods rather than to Hadad.
Bel meaning ‘Lord’ is a common title of the Babylonian deity Marduk.
En meaning ‘Lord’ as in Sumerian deities Enki and Enlil.
In Buddhism it refers to the Buddha and in Jainism to the Mahavira.
The name of the god Adonis may be a cognate of the Hebrew word for ‘lord’.
In the Wiccan religion, the male god is also referred to as ‘The Lord’ and the female as ‘The Lady’.
No wonder we see the Almighty God saying in Hosea 2:16 “and shalt call me no more Baali” Which is Master or Lord in Hebrew.
Also in Jer 23:27-28 …Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal
Satan has used language translators to replace God’s true name with the translated name of an evil deity Baal, Lord.
Another twist is we say the word “Amen” after we pray, or when anyone preaches.
Amen from (‘aman); sure; abstract faithfulness; adverb truly: Amen, so be it, truth. Note: it is common practice for translators to translate the letter A for E. It occurs more than 70 times in the scriptures. I notice the Phonetic Pronunciation of Amen is aw-mane’ but the Transliteration is ʾāmēn. So the Translators could have just used the phrase “so be it” or “truth” but they chose Amen instead. I wonder why? Did you know that there was an Egyptian god called “Amen”?
Amun, reconstructed Egyptian Yamānu (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and rarely Imen or Yamun, Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων Hammon), was a God in Egyptian mythology who in the form of Amun-Ra became the focus of the most complex system of theology in Ancient Egypt.
Weird huh? It may seem like I’m being a little too cautious, but you have got to aks yourself, where did the use of these things come from? Who made all of these changes? Jewish Masoretes, Catholic Priests and Kind James Interpreters. This is why we must study Hebrew, and go beyond the interpretation of these three groups to the original text.
Nonetheless we must know that Satan is behind the removing of the true names of God (YAH) and his Son (Yah’shua), and removing of the 14 missing books of the Bible (the apocrypha). Many Pastors do not preach on these truths because they are simply afraid of how the people will react to it, they don’t want to lose any members.
It seems as if Satan is really trying hard to cause the people of the Most High to worship him and his false gods.
Please do not miss understand me, I used to call on these names also, but because I was ignorant the Most High winked at it (Ignored it) because he saw my heart. But now I know what his true name is, and his Son’s name, and I know that there has been an attempt to remove it, I must not deny this truth.
The Most High does not wish to be called these false names any more. He doesn’t want us to deny his true name: Rev 3:8 …I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Prov 30:4 “…what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?”
Psalms 68:4 …”Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH (YAH, the Y was replaced with J), and rejoice before him.”
The name YAH, which is the name of God according to Psalms 68:4, has also been replaced by “Lord (Adonai)” in the Hebrew text. At least 50 times was YAH replaced in the bible with Lord. Do your own research.
The original Scriptures have all the names restored back as their original state. The Most High Knew that there would be attempts to suppress and remove his name, therefore he left us key to knowing his true name through the names of his people and through the praise of his people. You be the judge:
The Word Halleluyah in most Christian Churches is considered the highest praise that you can give the Most High. In the New Testament it is recorded 4 times in the book of Revelation as Alleluia.
Rev 19:1,3,4,6, (KJV) This word has a Hebrew origin [imperative of (halal) and (Yah)]; praise ye Yah!, an adoring exclamation :- alleluiah Greek.
The Name of Yah appears over 50 times in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), and is first used in Exodus 15:2 (see Ex. 15:2; 17:16; Psalm 68:4, 18; 77:11; 89:8;94:7, 12; 102:18; 105:45; 106:1, Isa. 12:2; 26:4; 38:11, etc.).
Hallelu YAH.
Plural imperative to praise Adonai Ps. 104:35; 105:45; 106:48; 111:1; 112:1; 113:1, 9; 115:18; 116:19; 117:2; 135:1, 3, 21; 146:1, 10; 147:1, 20; 148:1, 14; 149:1, 9;150:1
His Name was replaced in the KJV Bible with Lord. In the scriptures above the name Yah is where you would see Lord. You can confirm this yourself by going to your concordance and looking up the word lord in the scriptures above and you will see a Strong’s number 3050 Yah, contracted for (YHWH), and meaning the same; Yah, the sacred name :- Yah, the Lord, most vehement.—Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
YAH = YH
It is the name form which Yahweh (meaning; Yah the self-existent – because he came of himself) is derived.
The first occurrence of the Name YAH is in Exodus 15:2, where Moses and Israel sing a song regarding their deliverance from Pharoah’s horsemen:
The LORD (YAH) is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation. KJV
This can all be confirmed by researching the names of the people of Yah:
1. Yirmeyâh (Jeremiah) which means “Yah will rise,”
2. Yeshaʿyâh (Isaiah) which means “Yah has saved”
3. Ôbadyâh (Obadiah) which means “serving Yah”
4. Eliyyāh (Elijah) which means “Yah is my God”
5. Nechemyah (Nehemiah) which means “Yah comforted”
6. Tsephanyâh (Zephaniah) which means “Yah has secreted”
7. Zekaryâh (Zechariah) which means “Yah has remembered”
8. Yôʾshîyâh (Josiah) which means “founded of Yah”
9. Yah’shua, (Joshua) meaning “Yah is salvation” or “Yah has Saved” is also the true name of the Messiah, our saviour, not the name Jesus
10. Adoniyah [Yah is my Lord]
11. Abiyah [Yah is my father]
12. Achiyah [Yah is my brother]
13. Uriyah [Yah is my light]
14. Malchiyah [Yah is my king]
15. Hodiyah [Yah is my majesty]
16. Toviyah [Yah is my goodness]
17. Yiriyahu [Yah sees me]
18. Eliyahu [Yah is my God] the name for Elijah the Tishbite
There a lot more names in the scriptures, this is only a few of them. This is the reason why Satan removed all the original names from the scriptures. He knew that we would see the Fathers name in the name of his people because they were literally called by His name as He says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Now that you know that the Messiah’s true name is Yah’shua, which means ”Yah is salvation/has saved”, it makes sense when the Messiah says in John 5:43 that he comes in his Father’s name.
Knowledge of the Messiah’s name also transforms Romans 10:9, which says in the New King James Version, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Now replace “the Lord Jesus” in the above scripture with the meaning of the true name, “Yah is salvation/has saved”. It takes on a whole new meaning! It even makes grammatical sense unlike in the King James Version above. This part of this scripture has been edited in some version to “Jesus is Lord” so it can make grammatical sense.
The Messiah’s true name also agrees with
Matt 1:21 (KJV) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
According to this scripture, the Son’s name is supposed to mean, “He (YAH) shall save his people from their sins” Yah’shua literally means “Yah is salvation/has saved.” This isn’t the meaning of the name Jesus, research it for yourself.
This is what Yah’shua meant by John 5:43 (KJV) “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.”
Will you receive him, or do you prefer Jesus who comes in his own name?
WHAT NAME DO THEY PRAISE IN HEAVEN?
When the whole church finally makes it to heaven, and the believers on earth are caught up to the throne, the great multitude, the 24 elders and the 4 living creatures all began to praise this name. At the marriage supper of the Lamb there is a great amount of praising going on and what name do they praise?
Rev 19:1-7….1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Hallelu-Yah (Praise ye Yah); Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto YHWH our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said Hallelu-Yah (Praise ye Yah) . And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelu-Yah (Praise ye Yah). 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Hallelu-Yah (Praise ye Yah): for YHWH El-Shaddai reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Hallelu-Yah Praise ye Yah! YAH is his name, the name everyone praises in heaven. This can all be proven if you do your own research and it makes sense when we see Yahshua (Yah is salvation) say, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” John 5:43
IN CONCLUSION:
This is the true nature of the extra oil in the parable of the ten virgins;
Song 1:3…Because of the savour of thy good ointments THY NAME IS AS OIL POURED FORTH, therefore do THE VIRGINS LOVE THEE.
The NEW OIL which the wise virgins add to their lamps in time for the marriage of the Lamb is the KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUE NAME OF THE FATHER. This agrees with Revelations 14:1-4 where the 144,000 VIRGINS who escape the great tribulation ARE SEALED WITH THE NAME OF THE FATHER IN (not on) THEIR FOREHEADS before they are brought before the throne in heaven.
Please don’t be one of the foolish virgins who don’t seek knowledge, have no love for the truth and are therefore given over to the strong delusion (false names) that they may believe a lie as in 2 Thess 2:10-12.
Be one of the wise who seek knowledge and love and accept the truth no matter how it sounds.
The groom arrives, are you ready?
