Dear Diary,

Well I just went out and washed the truck, it has been weeks! We kept having the off and on rain and then I was sick so i havent been washing the vehicles and doing lawns like usual. No lawn work this eve, not after a facial and all that dirt and grass coating my body.

So youngest just helped me. Oldest is in his bedroom, he was dragging his feet over an assignment. Yeah I clamped down on him and told him no tv or playing till all the make up stuff was done, hes been dragging his feet, but I figured after sitting in his room bored as hell it will eventually get thru to him. Hes tried to stall, cry, come and ask help me clean the vehicle, you name it. Now hes finally writing the paper he has to do.

Yep this is my 6th grader! Fun Fun Fun!

Its just been sheer laziness, this whole new being responsible thing and the teachers leaving it to the kids and not the parents being told all their assignment anymore, she at least does send home a sheet of missing assignments come end of each week which is how ive discovered his lazy stuff and just not doing an assignment all together.

Like I said, the dang kid has straight A’s. His math homework he does no problem. Its been his writing assignments and science experiments and all he just doesnt tell me he had anything to do and I have no idea hes not doing things. Then I find out and the teacher does allow the kids to make up the work and i dont go for this giving him days to make it up crap, I have him working all eve and most of it done the next day after this is discovered. I told him if he gets any D or F grades I will pull him out of band. Hes a bright kid and theres no excuse for it.

Yeah so I know Rockbottom is having teen probs, and I know I will hit those eventually. I have to say I guess I felt I was given some good modeling growing up with my mom being a strict disciplinarian, but I also know I have a good temperament, I wasnt a trouble maker and I pretty much did what I was told (Being a people pleaser)

But I know my siblings gave mom and dad the trouble with drugs and stealing and all that stuff, but my mom always said by the time they had me she had learned what to and not to do. She said I was a piece of cake, haha

But she pretty much kept in contact with my sisters best friends parents, when one was caught doing something they notified each other and were really good allies as parents. Now they thank my mom as adults and laugh over how they couldnt get past my mom.

I have to say I have to commend my brother also, he wont let his son drive if he isnt getting a certain GPA. And his youngest son got some really bad grades a few years ago and he went to the school, had a sit down meeting with all his sons teachers with his son present and pretty much had it all in the open, him totally accountable and working with the teachers and that this would no longer happen. I mean that scared the crap outta the kid to get it together with his Dad having a meeting with all his teachers and him having to sit there in front of them all and his Dad.

So I do think sometimes you have to just crack down hard.

Talked to the neighbor wife, she said they will be moving in a month, she said she had to move back in cause she couldnt stay at her room rental with her kids, the other roomies hated the kids around, she said her credit sucks so she cant get an apartment.

Yeah makes u wonder how on earth they rented this house, the landlord obviously didnt check credit.

I hear her yell alot, I heard her yelling at her husband last night, about talking to some girl an dsaying he was going to church, she yells A LOT and loud and my son can hear it in his room.

I dont think people realize how loud they are.

I just cant wait for them to go and pray much better moves in next.

The for sale sign went up across the street two days ago on the old ladies house that died. So of course Im watching for those new neighbors. When it sells that is, it looks nice on the outside, but the inside I know was pretty raunchy cause she was an old lady with pets who didnt clean.

I know its been cleaned out somewhat but I dont think it was painted or has new carpet.

I just hope for decent people thats all, with home prices right now youd think only people with a decent income would move in, and then if its a rental it depends on the landlord. The other two across the street are both rentals but have always had people who are okay and the houses are kept nice.

Lets just hope for some more kids to move in, some boys! Or even some teen girls who want to babysit. 🙂

So my youngest just called his Dad and the kids are thrilled to hear that when they visit they are going to ex’s Uncles house. (They used to go there sometime back and stay on the weekends)

So my youngest was bummed he came in 13th place at the first all school track meet lol. It was his first time in a competition and we said that was good, and his school won out all the other schools 4th grade boys.

He will get better, hes driven. Just tell him he has to keep practicing and running more, more endurance.
