New Truck for Moi?

Dear Diary,

Well it looks like I will be getting Dads truck.

I talked to him today and turns out this one is not registered in Utah as I thought(my Dad is confusing) My mom thinks perhaps his original idea was to trade me my Jeep for his older truck up in Utah.

But my Dad just bought himself a Van, a Ford Freestar for comfort for him and easier to get in and out of. Hes walking with a cane now and he didnt want a stick either.

But he bought it in Utah. So hes gotta go up this weekend and get it. He asked if B could go up and help him but I told him he works tomm. Basically Dad needs to drive the truck to Utah and drive his Van home. So he will park the truck in his garage at his cabin up there and whenever we can get it we can. Well I just spoke to B and he said hed drive up with my Dad and take off work to do it tomm. Wowie! haha, my Dad and B alone on a road trip, haha.

But hed get to go up, stop in Nevada, see my Dads cabin and spend the night and drive the truck home. Otherwise B and I will have to make a trek and drive separately to get it home.

So we shall see, I will talk to B more when he gets home about it and have to find out when my Dad is leaving tomm.

I asked my Dad “So you want this to be a loan?” Hes all No.

He said its better for him to gift it to me then to sell it as he takes a loss, something to do with his taxes at the end of the year.

How hes given my Uncle two vehicles, my sister one car, my other sisters son a truck. That it was better that way for him tax wise. Ummm ok? I mean Im sure it will come out of the gift money he was going to give us kids, but thats okay with me. I can put off worrying about buying a new vehicle for now. Plus the resale value on the truck is much better then Id have on my Jeep for a future purchase.

So its a 1998 Mazda with a cab with the bench seats. Not the roomiest thing, but 3 can sit in the front, 2 bench seats in the back. So I have something for the kids and I to get around in still, and even B and all of us can fit too if need be. The kids can go in the back or one in the back and one in the middle. But Im still keeping my Jeep too. So Ill call tomm and find out the ins price, see if I keep the Jeep insured or just insure one. Depends on the cost.

My Jeep is due for smog, registration, I have to renew my license (After I just bought a new one! GRRRRR cause I lost it! Now I have to do it again!)

Plus this upcoming repair are gonna cost me some money.

Hopefully it passes smog though, otherwise that will be a pain in the behind.

So that made my day feel better. Things have a way of working themselves out. 🙂

The truck has 66,000 miles and my Dad is the original owner.

Its not bad looking either, just will want to take the tool box off of it is all, but it has a bedliner so thats cool. Just wonder what it looks like CLEAN is all! haha.

I had counseling today with my new guy, more of a intro session, kinda awkward as I didnt have any real issue I needed help on so will just call if I need to come in again, I miss the lady I had. 🙁

I cleaned the kitchen counters and mopped the floor, did the dishes and vacuumed today.

Now Im just making dinner. Have to study with youngest his spelling words in a few.
