Old Friend Call?
Dear Diary,
Oh I forgot to write. I came home to a message on my machine yesterday from someone I didnt recognize but they said my name and were asking about my paypal account and on and on. I said to B “Who was that???” So we replayed it. It is my OLD best friend. Im talking from Elementary and Junior High????????
Mind you I havent seen her in about 7 yrs or so?
She lives in Utah also.
Every now and then we say a brief thing online but we really dont talk much.
So to have a message about her wanting to get flowers for her mom and how they are so expensive and can she pay me with her paypal account and can I go get them and take them to her Moms house???? Was just freaking weird? And to be honest I found not cool to ask someone you dont even talk to do to for you cause you want to save money but have someone do all the leg work for you?
I didnt even call her back, its log distance also by the way.
So I get online later and there are 3 messages on my yahoo messenger from her, and she then logs on and Im all “Oh Crap”
sHe messages me asking if i got her message, I told her to try Proflowers.com. That I have to get my kids, etc etc. She just says “Oh ok” and logs off without saying anything. I just found it all quite rude from someone I dont really speak to try and ask all that.
These are good lessons for me, I have a hard time with that stuff, feel bad and want to do things and hate to say no to people I know, but cmon? What is up with that?
And she and i havent even been close since grade school! We kept in touch minorly through the years but never even hung out together! Just brief chit chatty catch up stuff was all.
So B and I drove around, went to the thrift store to donate stuff, to the kids consignment store to get info on what they need as I want to take stuff there and then went and looked at new house models for fun. Then picked up youngest and are just relaxing now. B suggested pizza tonite as a family thing 🙂
Well Im off to sift thru clothes to take to the consignment store.
