Nice Sunday

Dear Diary,

Well I had a nice holiday, it was a little stressful with the kids, but its mellowed out now and Im enjoying my vacation while they visit their Dad for the week.

Sunday B and I went shopping!

Felt good to buy some things I WANT.

We first went to the health food store to get some new facial products. Im reading a book and following a totally new skin care regimen/supplements/diet to see how it works. So I had to get some certain products, they were actually not as expensive as I thought they would be! YAY and Ive only used them a day or so but can tell the difference(they dont dry out my skin or make it feel tight)

B had to make a bank deposit at a Co Op Credit Union and it turns out my bank Ive had since high school is the one he could use so that was in the same center as the health food store.

We then headed to the mall, it was overcast, sun wasnt out, but not a lot of traffic on the roads so that was nice.

Well we got to the mall, it was packed, we parked way out, and as we got there B realizes he left his ballpoint pen at the bank on the ATM machine, he gets upset, is looking all over. I mean UPSET. Im all “Ohhh geez” Well he went on and on and looked around the seats etc, he said “Im gonna be in a bad mood all day now” I said “Well want me to see you later?” And I was serious, I have little patience for the moody stuff anymore and why make yourself suffer? I woulda just taken off. He got out, walked with me but cursed half the way, I didnt say anything I was just thinking “Shut up already!” inside of course.

He then says hes had this pen for years, its his favorite, it was his journaling pen, its been through so much with him and he just had an attachment to it.

By that time we got into the mall and through the mob in the dept store to get into the mall itself. We split off pretty quickly. I wanted to hit Victoria’s Secret for bras, I buy them every year at their sales as they are so pricey as it is and on sale still. So I got a new white bra! LOL YAY! I needed one so badly as my other one SQUEAKS! Yes its a Victorias secret bra and Ive had it a few years, its white but one of those smooth fitting ones that I like for having underneath sheer white or tight white shirts (instead of the lace that looks all weird with tight shirts) and the dang thing squeaks, its something with the underwire when I move it literally makes noise.

So I got a black and white bra.

B got me a Fairy Calendar as I needed one and they were 50% off.

We browsed, went down to Old Navy, and in turn I got a jacket! LOL It was a mens jacket but I loved it, so got it in size small and it fits me perfect, and its warm! Its like a brown curdouroy type material, cut at the waist with the thick soft inside. B bought me that also as part of my Christmas present. We then went to Red Robin to eat. After that it was Trader Joes, then off to Costco.

We picked up 3 movies and then made it home! We were out from 11-3.

He is good like that, he can stand a day out, now granted I didnt shop like I could have at the mall, hes not into all the stores on end with me, but he will brave going if I visit a few.

So we bought more of our healthy stuff. Like I said my new diet with the book Im reading. OH! And on the way home we stopped at a spa. I wanted to get my gift booked during this week if it was possible while my kids were gone.

YAY! I have friday off and at 10:45 Im going in! A Facial, a Massage, and Stone Lava Pedicure it was called or something? 2 1/2 hrs! Wooohooo, Im gonna call though and see if I can add the manicure to it and Ill pay for that(it wasnt part of the package)

So B got me my gifts 🙂

I got the Christmas tree out last night, well B did, I vacuumed, tried to get my living room back in order, rearranged some items, picked up every trace of christmas stuff and put it in a box and out in the garage. I still have the lights but wanted to string them up maybe somewhere inside as they are the small white ones.

And I love my star, its so cool looking, its copper and with lights inside, it could be used during non christmas time for decor.

B used his new “Ultimate Chopper” I got him and made Hummus for us! I love when a man cooks for me. And its just so neat to see him in the kitchen all into and enjoying what hes doing. It was tasty too! We dipped this pita type bread in it.

We made some salmon later( Broil salmon in wasabi oil and soy sauce, then drizzle with lemon when its done) YUM! And its such an easy fix meal and fast in the broiler, and VERY good for you!

Yes another B creation.

We watched “Envy” It was cute and silly.

So its near 8pm and he says he has to work on some files for work, so hes clearing the kitchen table off, and then reminds us to watch Desperate Housewives LOL Yes he likes the show too.

And he says he will start the files but wants to do something else first. 🙂 HAha, next thing you know we are both in the bedroom. Wooohoooo.

It was just a nice day you know? Doing whatever we wanted, having $$ to spend, him cooking, me getting my living room all clean and orderly so Im happy. I balanced the checkbook, Im negative but have some in my savings I can pull over to cover it so Im not too worried. And I still want to see if I can get a hair appt this week. Wish me luck with that one!

My girlfriend D called, its our week we both have no kids and want to get together to brainstorm career ideas and just gab about being self employed and ideas.

So we will do that this week also.

Friday Im off work! I get a spa day! no kids, B has to work( he gets Monday off)

I have no idea what we will do New Years, my brother invited us out for a party, B said that sounded fun but Im not sure how he will feel come New years as he will work all day, commute home then we have to head over an hour in traffic to my brothers direction on New Years. I want to go out and do something though since the kids are gone.

We watched Desperate Housewives, it was the first episode again, which I missed about 30 min of when it first aired so it filled in some pieces I missed. Ahh poo now they are showing reruns 🙁 I think I only missed one other episode.

So its back to the gym this week, some more ebay, house cleaning, appts, and I just had a nice eve with B, it was so laid back for us both, it felt good to just relax.

I was reading on the Tsunami yesterday on the news online, yikes, I cant even imagine, what a horrible thing, it said something about people not getting any help or aid for a whole night and they were angry, and Im thinking How on earth can anyone prepare for such a thing and have help to every single area right away, this was HUGE and its so widespread and such a mess. Just reminds you of how quickly life can change, and natural disasters and their power.
