BBQ and Relaxing

Dear Diary,

Morning.

Yawnnnnnnn. Ive been up since about 4am. I couldnt go back to sleep when B left.

I laid in bed till about 6am though, watched tv, tried to go back to sleep. No luck, So I finally got up.

So it was nice to move slow in the AM, Plus the kids dont have school so I didnt wake them up either. They got up near 7:30.

Dont you hate it when work is just boring, thats my thing as of late.

So I had a nice weekend. B came out thursday, commuted in friday and came back friday with the lady so we all headed out to dinner, we had mexican food. B paid and played Galaga with the kids, gave them quarters. Then we headed over to my gal pal D’s house.

So we headed to the park nearby by foot with all of our kids. D has 3 herself.

D then called her boyfriend and he met us a little later at the park.

Kids had a good time, the lawn at this park is HUGE and so green, but the playground sucked, It was a like a toddler playground.

We then headed back after playing there awhile to D’s house, B seemed tired, D’s girls retreated to their rooms to read books, the boyfriend was there who shes not really had around them and her soon to be ex husband pitches a fit over, so it just felt a little weird I guess. I told D we were leaving, she seemed to want us to stay but I told her we had to go. Which Im glad we did, cause we got home at 9, the kids passed out fast and so did B.

I wasnt up too late either.

I woke up about 9am saturday and crawled outta bed and gave B a kiss and told him to sleep. He slept till about 11:30.

I worked on some stuff online then had to run to two banks, so youngest and I went while oldest and B stayed at the house.

Its so nice being able to do that, you forget simple things like this, like just running to a store, bank, quick errand, and when you have a partner you can go yourself, or take just one kid, etc.

Later on we headed over to the park, and I got B to go jog with me! YAY! Youngest ran with us too. B and I did several laps.

After that we went by the video store and renting the kids 2 movies and we got the Last Samurai.

We watched it when the kids went to bed, I sat up, but then partway laid next to him on the couch and started to fall asleep. I finally told him I had to go to bed, he typically falls asleep before me, so it feels weird when its vice versa. He said okay and he was gonna watch, which was cool by me.

He crawled into bed a little later. We both slept well and longer, I think the run before helped us sleep so well.

Sunday I ran to the store with oldest as B said hed make us waffles again but he wanted to try putting bananas in it and we needed more syrup. So we ran out and I picked up stuff to BBQ later on.

We just loafed around all day.

Then B went to the gym, the kids and I went by my Moms house to drop off and pick up a few things, I sat on the porch for about an hour with Mom just talking. I hear about my sister via her now as I havent spoken to her in weeks.

Nothing really new, just my sister living at the bro in laws house, and nothing settled divorce wise and basically just hearing stories about the soon to be ex, his girlfriend and the kids.

My Dad is still in Iowa so couldnt see him for Fathers Day.

We got home from Moms and then B just got home same time, so we got all the food ready to BBQ. Now this was our first time ever doing it, LOL. As a couple, let alone me since I was with my ex. I had a small one in the shed I pulled out and cleaned, and we made up hamburgers and hot dogs. OMGOSH the hot dogs were sooo tasty, mmmmm we scarfed all of them down.

I bought some Smirnoff so we just sat out back and talked, it was nice and relaxing.

Then the kids were yelling out from the laudry room “We saw you guys kiss!” as they were being all sneaky and spying on us. So I chased them in the house and kissed my youngest and held onto him. He claimed B and I were kissing for 10 minutes lol.

After that I went and mowed the front lawn, B played board games with the kids.

He has been so good, hes been playing games with them, they played Monopoly Sat, he was in youngest childs room helping him assemble a playset and my son told me to please go to the gym so he could have B to himself. LOL

And I caught my oldest twice sitting in B’s lap watching tv.

My little one was looking at his Calendar saturday and said “Tomm is Fathers Day?” he said he wanted to call his Dad and I told him I didnt think he could reach him as he was in the mountains, but he could try, my youngest went and drew his Dad a Fathers Day picture, he called his dad Sunday but it said phone is not in service.

After doing the lawn I went and said Hi to the neighbor wife, and she had a friend over that she works with that just bought a house out here, another commuter. She was really cool and funny though, they were just saying “Your paying what!??” The time I bought my house the market was at big LOW. So my mortgage is $567. My neighbor and the lady both have houses they paid more then double what I paid and their mortgage payments are over $1000.

But I told them, Look I make about $1400 a month, I couldnt afford a decent apartment nowadays on that. I wouldnt be able to afford a house with the market the way it is now.

I came back home and B was in the bathtub relaxing. I did some cleaning up and crawled into bed with him, he was out around 10. I went to bed about 11.
