Whats the Deal?

Dear Diary,

Waiting for my sister to reply to me online. We spoke on the phone last night. She said that her husband left Saturday afternoon, said he was going fishing and his girlfriend was watching the girls for him Sunday while he fished. It was after 9pm Sunday eve and they hadnt come back. My sister started getting upset, that it was the girls school night, that he didnt take any of their clothes or toiletries, the girls have already missed enough school, etc etc etc. And I had to just keep reminding her hes DOING this.

Shes all “But this is not in the kids best interest” I agree, but what can she really do at this point? Hes doing this. If they were her kids, then id say react differently, but the attny told her it will be long and complicated, messy and expensive if they dont settle this on their own.

So after 10 I guess they got home last night, the teenager walked up to my sisters room and said “I started my period, can you get me tampons?” with an attitude, My sister said “Why cant your father take you to get them?” And the teen went “Geezuzz!” and walked off. My sister was telling her not to give her an attitude or speak to her that way. My sister said the teen has been like this.

Not the 10 yr old though. But my sister has spent 7 yrs as the 10 yr olds mom. And a year and a half as the teens. And well, I told her, the teen is all about survival, her real mom didnt want her, her grandma and aunt raised her then didnt want her anymore and were giving her to the state, so here she comes to live with the family of her half sister, her only blood relation tie here, and now her new family is falling apart, Im sure shes scared of being dumped off again, so of course shes gonna glob onto her only sense of a family, wether hes a jerk or not.

So anyways, I get an email from my sister this AM that says…
“what a deal! hello sissy , call me tmrw from work…., got incredible news ……… good for me… “

So I wish she just wrote what it was! I tried to call and it just rings, shes online but away from the computer.

I want to watch the special on tonight, On Jacquline Bisset Kennedys lover. It looks pretty good, just seeing that here was this woman who has this Top Sexiest Man in america, man with power,, and she had an affair.

Well kids went back to the first day of school after the break, oldest was so cute, laid his clothes out last night, his backpack ready and he was up and ready to go early. Youngest I had to tell to get up a few times and he grumbled about going back to school.

The kids have had enough together time, Im sure oldest welcomes his space.

Had to return their report card envelopes signed too. Both kids had good report cards, Oldest had one C last semester, so this time he got it up to a B, so all A’s and B’s.

I mostly just worry about my youngest and his attitude, if he gets one more warning he will get kicked out of the after school program, and that means I will have to arrange a sitter and all for him, bleh. Or else rearrange my work schedule, work less hours.

Take it a day at a time right? This will be their last semester of this grade, so we just need to finish out this one and youngest childs slate will be clean for the year for him to sign up next year for the program.

Cant believe, my oldest will be in 5th next year! Wow!

I was just riding around in B’s Jeep, it was relaxing with the windows down and the wind blowing my hair and just thinking “Will I ever get my kids out of our area?” How Id like to move to a better area and schools for the kids.

Its all about the income ya know?
