Comes Around Goes Around

Dear Diary,

In response to Salamanders comment. I dont have anything in legal writing as far as insurance goes, BUT he is not allowed to pull us off an insurance policy. We all started out in Ex’s insurance but the coverage was terrible and we were out of network. I didnt even work full time to get benefits at work, and everything was cash up front since we were out of network with Ex’s insurance. So my employer was MORE concerned about me and my kids. Have I mentioned how wonderful they have been?

I went to just inquire about how much it will cost me to get insurance there and thinking it wont be until next year or so. The secretary came in and said “Dont worry about it, you are covered, and you dont have to pay a thing” I just cried. The put me on the insurance that day. My boss also wanted to place my children on it, but that would cost $200. I make about $800 a month as it is and scrape by, so I called my ex and we discussed pulling us all of his health insurance. He was paying almost $400 for all of us on the crappy insurance. This way he only had to pay $200 for the children. And not pay for me. He agreed to this, and then refused to pay me the money, citing I would spend it elsewhere( ha, thats something he would do) But I just said whatever, he called my boss and set up an arrangement to pay them and has been since around Feb. 2002. So I guess Im in a way glad he did this thru THEM and not me, because now its not just MY word, they are the ones he agreed to this with. I was very concerned about what if he doesnt pay? My boss said “Victoria, dont worry about it, we wont charge you, if it comes down to that, we will get it out of him somehow, whether it be work and labor, we will get it” My ex worked here at this place, thats how I got the job.

So yes I will be addressing this with the attorney, BUT It looks like Im switching attorneys, Have an appointment tuesday with the new one. And he seems much better to talk to and informative, those of you know how hard i have had it getting calls and info with my current attorney.

I just got back from getting my hair trimmed and styled for tommorow. I got to talk to the hair girl for some time. Her brother has been going through a divorce, she told me not to worry, she explained to me how her brothers divorce went. And what the ex wife got. She said “Have you ever seen a judge push a mother out on the street? He wont kick you out of your house, your ex is just trying to scare you, let him talk, just dont believe it” She also said if I go to the DA they even do things like suspend your drivers license, that if I get the DA on him they will not be happy. I will talk to the attorney about that tuesday. And now with my little one pulled from the dental and now hes 20 days late paying the childrens health insurance policy. Wow, it just gets better!

And he comes out here, spends money on a hotel, some chick and movies and outings with the kids? And acts like hes so wronged and wants money from me?

What a jerk I tell ya, I pray she is right and he will get it in court.
